The North East Radio Group is an Australian amateur radio club that acts in North East Suburbs of Melbourne, in Victoria. The NERG club develops and runs own activities for training and practicing various social and technical meetings, classes, courses and license exams for diplomas. The North East Radio Group also organize different amateur contests, direction finding and even fox hunts in Victoria state.
Details: The NERG Repeaters & Beacons - The club has two repeaters and two beacons operating under the callsign "VK3RMH" and they are sutuated in the outer North-East metro region of Melbourne. ARDF Amateur Radio Direction Finding is a part of NERG (North East Radio Group). Participants are issued with a map and card and there are orienteering style punches at each transmitter. The participant has to clip the card at each transmitter. The shortest time wins. It is a real interesting contest and lot of people take part in every time.
