Details: Quill Group is a group of boutique practices incorporating Accountants, Financial Planners, Insurance and Finance Brokers operating on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane, Australia. Kevin Nicol, the founding director, with over 25 years experience in the accounting profession, named the practice after considering the origins of accounting. He wanted a name that was cryptically aligned to the financial services industry to tie the different facets of the business together, but also a name that reflected gilt edge quality and an icon word, to make it more memorable for marketing purposes.

Accounting or double entry bookkeeping is believed to have been developed by a Franciscan Monk in Venice named Luca Pacioli in 1494. This science was recorded in journals and ledgers using feather quills as writing instruments.
